Exchanges is part of the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival and addresses this year’s theme - the digital. Kate is exhibiting work with two other photographers Charlie Meecham and Simon Ford. Charlie is showing work about hands (digits) referring to the manual work and the material that exists despite digital technology. Simon’s work is about distribution hubs which are built to house the delivery system Just in Time Logisistics which relies upon digital and material time. Kate is exhibiting work from Architraum - pinhole photographs which are then photoshopped. They discuss post-industrialisation and the change of image sought through signature architecture and adaptations to existing buildings.
